The Medicine of Mario
Jose Mario Reynoso is a Giver!
Mario works hard in his community of the Two Laredos, one part is in Texas and the other in Mexico. He lives and works by trade in the Texas side and he brings joy and well being to the Mexican side with his occupation of joy.
Mario has partnered with nine individuals who together pool their talent and have started the Kuantico Institute aimed at assisting those in the impoverished areas of Mexico to know a better life. He and his team work with addictions and primarily with the teen

community. Currently they work out of a government building where they have been granted space yet future goals are to create a more effective location that can house the many special talents and abilities of the group.
Presently the Clinica de la risa, or Laughter Clinic offers a number of healing modalities that compliment western medicine. They also offer a clowning group that gather together to lighten the mood before surgeries and help those confined to feel less so in their current settings. The mood of the staff and surgeons improves as they believe the group have a beneficial mirth medicine offered.
While they are working without budget and relying strictly on donation to create this dream, Mario came to Chicago to learn the techniques of a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader to bring back to the team. He left full and purposeful laden with a few gifts and leaving a list in Chicago of items that could go a long way to making the work they do more effective and in Chicago, we have adopted the Laughing Laredos as a sister city in the spirit of laughter.
The team Mario trained with in December chose to make their mission one of being in connection with Mario and the Kuantico Institute and to travel together as a team to inspire and delight those who could benefit by their time and talents!
